Music Teaching

I have been teaching singing, piano and music theory for many years. I specialised in vocal studies at university and achieved a Distinction in my Grade 5 Music Theory. I also play piano to Grade 8 standard. I work with a mixture of ages, abilities and styles and I pride myself on being fun and friendly, while encouraging my students to reach their highest potential. I mostly teach at The Music Works, which is a specalist music school in Milford, Surrey. I also have some private students that I mainly teach in their own homes.

More recently, I have been increasing my work with special education needs students and from September 2021, I will be teaching music to key stage 3 and 4 students at Hollywater School. I teach piano to visually impaired students and students with learning difficulties.

My teaching highlights are numerous but specific ones include coaching an adult student with anxiety through to passing her grade 3 piano and supporting an autistic student to play live on stage at an outdoor music festival.

Each lesson is tailored to the individual student but I do include technique, musicianship skills, performance skills and music theory. For more information, contact me to discuss
